ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਕਾਂਖੀ ॥

सारग महला ५ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕੇ ਜਨ ਕਾਂਖੀ ॥

hari kē nām kē jan kāṅkhī ॥

हरि के नाम के जन कांखी ॥

The Lord's humble servants yearn for the Lord's Name.

ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਬਚਨਿ ਏਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਚਾਹਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਸੁ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਕਬ ਆਖੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

mani tani bacni ēhī sukhu chāhat prabh darsu dēkhahi kab ākhī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

मनि तनि बचनि एही सुखु चाहत प्रभ दरसु देखहि कब आखी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

In thought, word and deed, they long for this peace, to gaze with their eyes upon the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan. ||1||Pause||

ਤੂ ਬੇਅੰਤੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਗਤਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਜਾਇ ਨ ਲਾਖੀ ॥

tū bēantu pārbraham suāmī gati tērī jāi na lākhī ॥

तू बेअंतु पारब्रहम सुआमी गति तेरी जाइ न लाखी ॥

You are Endless, O God, my Supreme Lord and Master; Your state cannot be known.

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨੁ ਬੇਧਿਆ ਕਰਿ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਰਾਖੀ ॥੧॥

charan kamal prīti manu bēdhiā kari sarbasu antri rākhī ॥1॥

चरन कमल प्रीति मनु बेधिआ करि सरबसु अंतरि राखी ॥१॥

My mind is pierced through by the Love of Your Lotus Feet; this is everything to me - I enshrine it deep within my being. ||1||

ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਇਹ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਸਨਾ ਭਾਖੀ ॥

bēd purān simriti sādhū jan ih bāṇī rasnā bhākhī ॥

बेद पुरान सिम्रिति साधू जन इह बाणी रसना भाखी ॥

In the Vedas, the Puraanas and the Simritees, the humble and the Holy chant this Bani with their tongues.

ਜਪਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਸਤਰੀਐ ਹੋਰੁ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਬਿਰਥੀ ਸਾਖੀ ॥੨॥੯੮॥੧੨੧॥

japi rām nāmu nānak nistarīai hōru dutīā birthī sākhī ॥2॥98॥121॥

जपि राम नामु नानक निसतरीऐ होरु दुतीआ बिरथी साखी ॥२॥९८॥१२१॥

Chanting the Lord's Name, O Nanak, I am emancipated; other teachings of duality are useless. ||2||98||121||
