ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥

ਮਾਝ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

माझ महला ४ ॥

Maajh, Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥

hari jan sant milhu mērē bhāī ॥

हरि जन संत मिलहु मेरे भाई ॥

O servants of the Lord, O Saints, O my Siblings of Destiny, let us join together!

ਮੇਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦਸਹੁ ਮੈ ਭੁਖ ਲਗਾਈ ॥

mērā hari prabhu dashu mai bhukh lagāī ॥

मेरा हरि प्रभु दसहु मै भुख लगाई ॥

Show me the way to my Lord God-I am so hungry for Him!

ਮੇਰੀ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰਿ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥

mērī sardhā pūri jagjīvan dātē mili hari darsani manu bhījai jīu ॥1॥

मेरी सरधा पूरि जगजीवन दाते मिलि हरि दरसनि मनु भीजै जीउ ॥१॥

Please reward my faith, O Life of the World, O Great Giver. Obtaining the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, my mind is fulfilled. ||1||

ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਿ ਬੋਲੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਣੀ ॥

mili satsaṅgi bōlī hari bāṇī ॥

मिलि सतसंगि बोली हरि बाणी ॥

Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I chant the Bani of the Lord's Word.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥

hari hari kathā mērai mani bhāṇī ॥

हरि हरि कथा मेरै मनि भाणी ॥

The Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, is pleasing to my mind.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥

hari hari ammritu hari mani bhāvai mili satigur ammritu pījai jīu ॥2॥

हरि हरि अंम्रितु हरि मनि भावै मिलि सतिगुर अंम्रितु पीजै जीउ ॥२॥

The Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, is so sweet to my mind. Meeting the True Guru, I drink in this Ambrosial Nectar. ||2||

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥

vaḍbhāgī hari saṅgti pāvahi ॥

वडभागी हरि संगति पावहि ॥

By great good fortune, the Lord's Congregation is found,

ਭਾਗਹੀਨ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਵਹਿ ॥

bhāghīn bhrami chōṭā khāvahi ॥

भागहीन भ्रमि चोटा खावहि ॥

While the unfortunate ones wander around in doubt, enduring painful beatings.

ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਭੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥

binu bhāgā satsaṅgu na labhai binu saṅgti mailu bharījai jīu ॥3॥

बिनु भागा सतसंगु न लभै बिनु संगति मैलु भरीजै जीउ ॥३॥

Without good fortune, the Sat Sangat is not found; without this Sangat, people are stained with filth and pollution. ||3||

ਮੈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

mai āi milhu jagjīvan piārē ॥

मै आइ मिलहु जगजीवन पिआरे ॥

Come and meet me, O Life of the World, my Beloved.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਇਆ ਮਨਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥

hari hari nāmu daiā mani dhārē ॥

हरि हरि नामु दइआ मनि धारे ॥

Please bless me with Your Mercy, and enshrine Your Name, Har, Har, within my mind.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੪॥

gurmati nāmu mīṭhā mani bhāiā jan nānak nāmi manu bhījai jīu ॥4॥4॥

गुरमति नामु मीठा मनि भाइआ जन नानक नामि मनु भीजै जीउ ॥४॥४॥

Through the Guru's Teachings, the Sweet Name has become pleasing to my mind. Servant Nanak's mind is drenched and delighted with the Naam. ||4||4||
