सारग महला ५ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸਗਲ ਉਧਾਰੇ ਸੰਗ ਕੇ ॥

hari jan sagal udhārē saṅg kē ॥

हरि जन सगल उधारे संग के ॥

The Lord's humble servant saves those who accompany him.

ਭਏ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਮਨ ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhaē punīt pavitr man janam janam kē dukh harē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

भए पुनीत पवित्र मन जनम जनम के दुख हरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Their minds are sanctified and rendered pure, and they are rid of the pains of countless incarnations. ||1||Pause||

ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲੇ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨ੍‍ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸੇ ਤਰੇ ॥

mārgi chalē tinī sukhu pāiā jin‍ siu gōsṭi sē tarē ॥

मारगि चले तिन्‍ी सुखु पाइआ जिन्‍ सिउ गोसटि से तरे ॥

Those who walk on the path find peace; they are saved, along with those who speak with them.

ਬੂਡਤ ਘੋਰ ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਮਹਿ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥੧॥

būḍat ghōr andh kūp mahi tē sādhū saṅgi pāri parē ॥1॥

बूडत घोर अंध कूप महि ते साधू संगि पारि परे ॥१॥

Even those who are drowning in the horrible, deep dark pit are carried across in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1||

ਜਿਨ੍‍ ਕੇ ਭਾਗ ਬਡੇ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ਤਿਨ੍‍ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੁਖ ਜੁਰੇ ॥

jin‍ kē bhāg baḍē hai bhāī tin‍ sādhū saṅgi mukh jurē ॥

जिन्‍ के भाग बडे है भाई तिन्‍ साधू संगि मुख जुरे ॥

Those who have such high destiny turn their faces toward the Saadh Sangat.

ਤਿਨ੍‍ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੩॥੨੨॥

tin‍ kī dhūri bāñchhai nit nānku prabhu mērā kirpā karē ॥2॥3॥22॥

तिन्‍ की धूरि बांछै नित नानकु प्रभु मेरा किरपा करे ॥२॥३॥२२॥

Nanak longs for the dust of their feet; O God, please shower Your Mercy on me! ||2||3||22||
