ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਥੇ ॥

सारग महला ५ ॥

Saarang, Fifth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਥੇ ॥

hari hari nāmu dīō guri sāthē ॥

हरि हरि नामु दीओ गुरि साथे ॥

The Guru has given me the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, as my Companion.

ਨਿਮਖ ਬਚਨੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੀਅਰੈ ਬਸਿਓ ਸਗਲ ਭੂਖ ਮੇਰੀ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

nimakh bacnu prabh hīarai basiō sagal bhūkh mērī lāthē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

निमख बचनु प्रभ हीअरै बसिओ सगल भूख मेरी लाथे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

If the Word of God dwells within my heart for even an instant, all my hunger is relieved. ||1||Pause||

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਗੁਣ ਨਾਇਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਸਭ ਨਾਥੇ ॥

kripā nidhān guṇ nāik ṭhākur sukh samūh sabh nāthē ॥

क्रिपा निधान गुण नाइक ठाकुर सुख समूह सभ नाथे ॥

O Treasure of Mercy, Master of Excellence, my Lord and Master, Ocean of peace, Lord of all.

ਏਕ ਆਸ ਮੋਹਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਉਰ ਦੁਤੀਆ ਆਸ ਬਿਰਾਥੇ ॥੧॥

ēk ās mōhi tērī suāmī aur dutīā ās birāthē ॥1॥

एक आस मोहि तेरी सुआमी अउर दुतीआ आस बिराथे ॥१॥

My hopes rest in You alone, O my Lord and Master; hope in anything else is useless. ||1||

ਨੈਣ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਾਵਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਰ ਧਾਰੇ ਮੇਰੈ ਮਾਥੇ ॥

naiṇ triptāsē dēkhi darsāvā guri kar dhārē mērai māthē ॥

नैण त्रिपतासे देखि दरसावा गुरि कर धारे मेरै माथे ॥

My eyes were satisfied and fulfilled, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, when the Guru placed His Hand on my forehead.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੈ ਅਤੁਲ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਭੈ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੨॥੨੦॥੪੩॥

kahu nānak mai atul sukhu pāiā janam maraṇ bhai lāthē ॥2॥20॥43॥

कहु नानक मै अतुल सुखु पाइआ जनम मरण भै लाथे ॥२॥२०॥४३॥

Says Nanak, I have found immeasurable peace; my fear of birth and death is gone. ||2||20||43||
