ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤ ਭਰਮ ਗਏ ॥

महला ५ गउड़ी ॥

Fifth Mehl, Gauree:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤ ਭਰਮ ਗਏ ॥

hari hari guru guru karat bharam gaē ॥

हरि हरि गुरु गुरु करत भरम गए ॥

Dwelling upon the Lord, Har, Har, and the Guru, the Guru, my doubts have been dispelled.

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

mērai mani sabhi sukh pāiō ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

मेरै मनि सभि सुख पाइओ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

My mind has obtained all comforts. ||1||Pause||

ਬਲਤੋ ਜਲਤੋ ਤਉਕਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਸੀਤਲਾਇਓ ॥੧॥

baltō jaltō taukiā gur chandnu sītlāiō ॥1॥

बलतो जलतो तउकिआ गुर चंदनु सीतलाइओ ॥१॥

I was burning, on fire, and the Guru poured water on me; He is cooling and soothing, like the sandalwood tree. ||1||

ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦੀਪਾਇਓ ॥੨॥

agiān andhērā miṭi gaiā gur giānu dīpāiō ॥2॥

अगिआन अंधेरा मिटि गइआ गुर गिआनु दीपाइओ ॥२॥

The darkness of ignorance has been dispelled; the Guru has lit the lamp of spiritual wisdom. ||2||

ਪਾਵਕੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗਹਰੋ ਚਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਨਾਵ ਤਰਾਇਓ ॥੩॥

pāvku sāgru gahrō chari santan nāv tarāiō ॥3॥

पावकु सागरु गहरो चरि संतन नाव तराइओ ॥३॥

The ocean of fire is so deep; the Saints have crossed over, in the boat of the Lord's Name. ||3||

ਨਾ ਹਮ ਕਰਮ ਨ ਧਰਮ ਸੁਚ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਆਪਾਇਓ ॥੪॥

nā ham karam na dharam suc prabhi gahi bhujā āpāiō ॥4॥

ना हम करम न धरम सुच प्रभि गहि भुजा आपाइओ ॥४॥

I have no good karma; I have no Dharmic faith or purity. But God has taken me by the arm, and made me His own. ||4||

ਭਉ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੋ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇਓ ॥੫॥

bhau khaṇḍnu dukh bhañjnō bhagti vachhal hari nāiō ॥5॥

भउ खंडनु दुख भंजनो भगति वछल हरि नाइओ ॥५॥

The Destroyer of fear, the Dispeller of pain, the Lover of His Saints - these are the Names of the Lord. ||5||

ਅਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥ ਸੰਤ ਓਟਾਇਓ ॥੬॥

anāthah nāth kripāl dīn sammrith sant ōṭāiō ॥6॥

अनाथह नाथ क्रिपाल दीन संम्रिथ संत ओटाइओ ॥६॥

He is the Master of the masterless, Merciful to the meek, All-powerful, the Support of His Saints. ||6||

ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਆਰੇ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਓ ॥੭॥

nirgunīārē kī bēntī dēhu darsu hari rāiō ॥7॥

निरगुनीआरे की बेनती देहु दरसु हरि राइओ ॥७॥

I am worthless - I offer this prayer, O my Lord King: ""Please, grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.""||7||

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ॥੮॥੨॥੧੪॥

nānak sarni tuhārī ṭhākur sēvku duārai āiō ॥8॥2॥14॥

नानक सरनि तुहारी ठाकुर सेवकु दुआरै आइओ ॥८॥२॥१४॥

Nanak has come to Your Sanctuary, O my Lord and Master; Your servant has come to Your Door. ||8||2||14||
