ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥

Dayv-Gandhaaree:

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਉ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥

hari guṇ gāvai hau tisu balihārī ॥

हरि गुण गावै हउ तिसु बलिहारी ॥

I am a sacrifice to one who sings the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਦੇਖਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਸਾਧ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

dēkhi dēkhi jīvā sādh gur darsanu jisu hirdai nāmu murārī ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

देखि देखि जीवा साध गुर दरसनु जिसु हिरदै नामु मुरारी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I live by continuously beholding the Blessed Vision of the Holy Guru's Darshan; within His Mind is the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਤੁਮ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਪਾਵਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਮ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਮਿਲਹ ਜੂਠਾਰੀ ॥

tum pavitr pāvan purakh prabh suāmī ham kiu kari milah jūṭhārī ॥

तुम पवित्र पावन पुरख प्रभ सुआमी हम किउ करि मिलह जूठारी ॥

You are pure and immaculate, O God, Almighty Lord and Master; how can I, the impure one, meet You?

ਹਮਰੈ ਜੀਇ ਹੋਰੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਰੁ ਹੋਤ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਕਰਮਹੀਣ ਕੂੜਿਆਰੀ ॥੧॥

hamrai jīi hōru mukhi hōru hōt hai ham karamhīṇ kūṛiārī ॥1॥

हमरै जीइ होरु मुखि होरु होत है हम करमहीण कूड़िआरी ॥१॥

I have one thing in my mind, and another thing on my lips; I am such a poor, unfortunate liar! ||1||

ਹਮਰੀ ਮੁਦ੍ਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਦੁਸਟ ਦੁਸਟਾਰੀ ॥

hamrī mudr nāmu hari suāmī rid antri dusaṭ dusṭārī ॥

हमरी मुद्र नामु हरि सुआमी रिद अंतरि दुसट दुसटारी ॥

I appear to chant the Lord's Name, but within my heart, I am the most wicked of the wicked.

ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਰੀ ॥੨॥੫॥

jiu bhāvai tiu rākhhu suāmī jan nānak sarṇi tumārī ॥2॥5॥

जिउ भावै तिउ राखहु सुआमी जन नानक सरणि तुम्‍ारी ॥२॥५॥

As it pleases You, save me, O Lord and Master; servant Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary. ||2||5||
