ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਅਗਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਿਖਾ ॥

hari agmu agōcru agmu hari kiu kari hari darsanu pikhā ॥

हरि अगमु अगोचरु अगमु हरि किउ करि हरि दरसनु पिखा ॥

The Lord is Inaccessible and Unfathomable. How will I see the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan?

ਕਿਛੁ ਵਖਰੁ ਹੋਇ ਸੁ ਵਰਨੀਐ ਤਿਸੁ ਰੂਪੁ ਨ ਰਿਖਾ ॥

kichhu vakhru hōi su varnīai tisu rūpu na rikhā ॥

किछु वखरु होइ सु वरनीऐ तिसु रूपु न रिखा ॥

If He were a material object, then I could describe Him, but He has no form or feature.

ਜਿਸੁ ਬੁਝਾਏ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਇ ਦੇਇ ਸੋਈ ਜਨੁ ਦਿਖਾ ॥

jisu bujhāē āpi bujhāi dēi sōī janu dikhā ॥

जिसु बुझाए आपि बुझाइ देइ सोई जनु दिखा ॥

Understanding comes only when the Lord Himself gives understanding; only such a humble being sees it.

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਟਸਾਲ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਿਖਾ ॥

satsaṅgti satigur chaṭsāl hai jitu hari guṇ sikhā ॥

सतसंगति सतिगुर चटसाल है जितु हरि गुण सिखा ॥

The Sat Sangat, the True Congregation of the True Guru, is the school of the soul, where the Glorious Virtues of the Lord are studied.

ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਧੰਨੁ ਕਰ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਪਾਧਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਲੇਖਾ ਲਿਖਾ ॥੮॥

dhanu dhannu su rasnā dhannu kar dhannu su pādhā satigurū jitu mili hari lēkhā likhā ॥8॥

धनु धंनु सु रसना धंनु कर धंनु सु पाधा सतिगुरू जितु मिलि हरि लेखा लिखा ॥८॥

Blessed, blessed is the tongue, blessed is the hand, and blessed is the Teacher, the True Guru; meeting Him, the Account of the Lord is written. ||8||
