ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚਾ ਪੰਥੁ ਹੈ ਸਿਖੁ ਸਹਜ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਖਲੋਵੈ॥

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚਾ ਪੰਥੁ ਹੈ ਸਿਖੁ ਸਹਜ ਘਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਖਲੋਵੈ॥

gurmukhi sachā panthu hai sikhu sahaj ghari jāi khalōvai॥

गुरमुखि सचा पंथु है सिखु सहज घरि जाइ खलोवै॥

The way of gurmukhs is that way of truth treading which, the Sikh automatically stabilizes in his innate nature.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਚੁ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਪੈਰੀਂ ਪੈ ਪਾ ਖਾਕੁ ਜੁ ਹੋਵੈ॥

gurmukhi sachu rahrāsi hai pairīṃ pai pā khāku ju hōvai॥

गुरमुखि सचु रहरासि है पैरीं पै पा खाकु जु होवै॥

The conduct of gurmukhs is true; touching of the feet and becoming of dust of the feet i.e. getting most humble is their active behaviour.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਵਣਾ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਲੈ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਲੁ ਧੋਵੈ॥

gur sikhī dā nāvṇā gurmati lai durmati malu dhōvai॥

गुर सिखी दा नावणा गुरमति लै दुरमति मलु धोवै॥

The ablution in Sikh-life is washing away of evil propensities by adopting the wisdom of the Guru (gurmat).

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਪੂਜਣਾ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਪੂਜ ਪਿਰਮ ਰਸੁ ਭੋਵੈ॥

gur sikhī dā pūjṇā gursikh pūj piram rasu bhōvai॥

गुर सिखी दा पूजणा गुरसिख पूज पिरम रसु भोवै॥

Worship in Sikh-life is the worship (service) to the Sikhs of the Guru and getting drenched in the shower of love of the dear Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਗਲਿ ਹਾਰ ਪਰੋਵੈ॥

gur sikhī dā mannṇā gur bacnī gali hār parōvai॥

गुर सिखी दा मंनणा गुर बचनी गलि हार परोवै॥

Wearing the words of the Guru like garland, is the accepting of the will of the Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਜੀਂਵਦਿਆਂ ਮਰਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਖੋਵੈ॥

gur sikhī dā jīvṇā jīṃvdiāṃ mari haumai khōvai॥

गुर सिखी दा जीवणा जींवदिआं मरि हउमै खोवै॥

Life of a gursikh is being dead i.e. losing one's ego while alive.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਬਦ ਵਿਲੋਵੈ ॥੯॥

sādhsaṅgti guru sabad vilōvai ॥9॥

साधसंगति गुरु सबद विलोवै ॥९॥

In such a life the word of the Guru is churned in the holy congregation.
