ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਰਮੁ ਚਖਾਇਆ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਖਾਣੁ ਪੀਅਣੁ ਅੰਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ॥

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਿਰਮੁ ਚਖਾਇਆ ਭੁਖ ਨ ਖਾਣੁ ਪੀਅਣੁ ਅੰਨੁ ਪਾਣੀ॥

gurmukhi pirmu chakhāiā bhukh na khāṇu pīaṇu annu pāṇī॥

गुरमुखि पिरमु चखाइआ भुख न खाणु पीअणु अंनु पाणी॥

The gurmukh having tasted the joy of love feels no desire for food and ink.

ਸਬਦ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਨੀਂਦ ਉਘੜੀ ਜਾਗਦਿਆਂ ਸੁਖ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਣੀ॥

sabad surti nīnd ughṛī jāgdiāṃ sukh raiṇi vihāṇī॥

सबद सुरति नींद उघड़ी जागदिआं सुख रैणि विहाणी॥

Due to the merger of his consciousness in the Word, he gets no eep and by getting awake, he spends his night delightfully.

ਸਾਹੇ ਬਧੇ ਸੋਂਹਦੇ ਮੈਲਾਪੜ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ॥

sāhē badhē sōṃhdē mailāpaṛ parvāṇu parāṇī॥

साहे बधे सोंहदे मैलापड़ परवाणु पराणी॥

As for a few ays before marriage, the bride and the bridegroom look beautiful even in gs, the gurmukhs also remain adorned.

ਚਲਣੁ ਜਾਣਿ ਸੁਜਾਣ ਹੋਇ ਜਗ ਮਿਹਮਾਨ ਆਏ ਮਿਹਮਾਣੀ॥

chalṇu jāṇi sujāṇ hōi jag mihmān āē mihmāṇī॥

चलणु जाणि सुजाण होइ जग मिहमान आए मिहमाणी॥

Since they understand the mystery f going from the world, they live like guests in the world (who must sooner r later go).

ਸਚੁ ਵਣਜਿ ਖੇਪ ਲੈ ਚਲੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਾਡੀ ਰਾਹੁ ਨੀਸਾਣੀ॥

sachu vaṇji khēp lai chalē gurmukhi gāḍī rāhu nīsāṇī॥

सचु वणजि खेप लै चले गुरमुखि गाडी राहु नीसाणी॥

Being familiar with the highway of the wisdom of the Guru, Gurmukhs move on it with full load of the truthful merchandise.

ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਮੁਖ ਉਜਲੇ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖ ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ॥

halti palti mukh ujlē gur sikh gursikhāṃ mani bhāṇī॥

हलति पलति मुख उजले गुर सिख गुरसिखां मनि भाणी॥

The Sikhs ove the teachings of the Guru and their faces remain bright in this and in the world hereafter.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਵਿਚਿ ਅਖਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥੧੨॥

sādhsaṅgti vichi akhath kahāṇī ॥12॥

साधसंगति विचि अखथ कहाणी ॥१२॥

Always in the holy congregation, the ineffable story of the grandeur of) the Lord is told.
