ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਮਨ ਪਰਗਾਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ॥

gurmukh man pargās gurū updēsiā॥

गुरमुख मन परगास गुरू उपदेसिआ॥

The gurmukh who have received well with the Guru's teachings have got their minds enlightened.

ਪੇਈਅੜੈ ਘਰ ਵਾਸੁ ਮਿਟੇ ਅੰਦੇਸਿਆ॥

pēīaṛai ghar vāsu miṭē andēsiā॥

पेईअड़ै घर वासु मिटे अंदेसिआ॥

They have understood that the world is like a parental home; one has to go one day from here and hence all their doubts have been removed.

ਆਵਾ ਵਿਚ ਨਿਰਾਸ ਗਿਆਨ ਅਵੇਸਿਆ॥

āvā vic nirās giān avēsiā॥

आवा विच निरास गिआन अवेसिआ॥

They are unattached amid hopes and remain charged with the knowledge.

ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਰਹਿਰਾਸ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੰਦੇਸਿਆ॥

sādh saṅgti rahirās shabad sandēsiā॥

साध संगति रहिरास शबद संदेसिआ॥

They spread message of the Word in accordance with the conduct of the holy congregation.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਮਤਿ ਪਰਵੇਸਿਆ॥

gurmukh dāsni dās mati parvēsiā॥

गुरमुख दासनि दास मति परवेसिआ॥

The idea that they are servants of the servants of the Lord has got deeply rooted in the wisdom of the gurmukhs.

ਸਿਮਰਣ ਸਾਸ ਗਿਰਾਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿਦੇਸਿਆ ॥੭॥

simraṇ sās girās dēs vidēsiā ॥7॥

सिमरण सास गिरास देस विदेसिआ ॥७॥

Be they anywhere in the country or abroad they remember God with every inhalation and exhalation of breath.
