ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾਂ ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ॥

gursikhāṃ rahrāsi gurū piāriā॥

गुरसिखां रहरासि गुरू पिआरिआ॥

The right living of the Sikhs of the Guru is that they love the Guru.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਨਾਉ ਚਿਤਾਰਿਆ॥

gurmukhi sāsi girāsi nāu chitāriā॥

गुरमुखि सासि गिरासि नाउ चितारिआ॥

Gurumukhs remember the name of the Lord with every breath and every morsel.

ਮਾਇਆ ਵਿਚਿ ਉਦਾਸੁ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਆ॥

māiā vichi udāsu garbu nivāriā॥

माइआ विचि उदासु गरबु निवारिआ॥

Epudiating pride they remain detached amidst maya.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦਾਸਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਸੇਵ ਸੁਚਾਰਿਆ॥

gurmukhi dāsni dās sēv suchāriā॥

गुरमुखि दासनि दास सेव सुचारिआ॥

Gurmukhs consider hemselves as the servant of the servants and service only is their true conduct.

ਵਰਤਨਿ ਆਸ ਨਿਰਾਸ ਸਬਦੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਿਆ॥

vartani ās nirās sabdu vīchāriā॥

वरतनि आस निरास सबदु वीचारिआ॥

Pondering upon the Word, they remain neutral towards hopes.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ਮਨ ਹਠ ਮਾਰਿਆ॥

gurmukhi sahji nivāsu man haṭh māriā॥

गुरमुखि सहजि निवासु मन हठ मारिआ॥

Eschewing stubbornness of mind, gurmukhs reside in equipoise.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਨਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੧੯॥

gurmukhi mani pargāsu patit udhāriā ॥19॥

गुरमुखि मनि परगासु पतित उधारिआ ॥१९॥

Enlightened of gurmukhs salvages many a fallen one.
