ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਹੁਇ ਮਿਠ ਬੋਲਾ ਲਿਖੈ ਨ ਲੇਖੈ॥

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਹੁਇ ਮਿਠ ਬੋਲਾ ਲਿਖੈ ਨ ਲੇਖੈ॥

gur sikhī dā bōlṇā hui miṭh bōlā likhai na lēkhai॥

गुर सिखी दा बोलणा हुइ मिठ बोला लिखै न लेखै॥

The Sikh life one speaks mildly and never gets oneself noticed i.e. ego is diated.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਚਲਣਾ ਚਲੈ ਭੈ ਵਿਚਿ ਲੀਤੇ ਭੇਖੈ॥

gur sikhī dā chalṇā chalai bhai vichi lītē bhēkhai॥

गुर सिखी दा चलणा चलै भै विचि लीते भेखै॥

Maintaining the Sikh form and moving in the fear of the Lord constitute the Sikh way of living.

ਗੁਰ ਸਿਖੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਏਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਚਾਲ ਚਲੈ ਸੋ ਦੇਖੈ॥

gur sikhī dā rāh ēhu gurmukhi chāl chalai sō dēkhai॥

गुर सिखी दा राह एहु गुरमुखि चाल चलै सो देखै॥

Sikh living means following the footsteps gursikhs.

ਘਾਲਿ ਖਾਇ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰੈ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਅਵੇਸੁ ਵਿਸੇਖੈ॥

ghāli khāi sēvā karai gur updēsu avēsu visēkhai॥

घालि खाइ सेवा करै गुर उपदेसु अवेसु विसेखै॥

One should eat the fruit of one's own labour, do service and could always remain inspired by the teachings of the Guru.

ਆਪੁ ਗਣਾਇ ਨ ਅਪੜੈ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ਰੂਪ ਨ ਰੇਖੈ॥

āpu gaṇāi na apṛai āpu gavāē rūp na rēkhai॥

आपु गणाइ न अपड़ै आपु गवाए रूप न रेखै॥

The supreme rd is not attained through egotism and only after losing the sense of ego e can identify oneself with the formless and limitless Lord.

ਮੁਰਦੇ ਵਾਂਗੁ ਮੁਰੀਦ ਹੋਇ ਗੁਰ ਗੋਰੀ ਵੜਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਲੇਖੈ॥

murdē vāṅgu murīd hōi gur gōrī vaṛi alakh alēkhai॥

मुरदे वांगु मुरीद होइ गुर गोरी वड़ि अलख अलेखै॥

A disciple coming like a dead person and entering into the guru-grave can merge in at imperceptible Lord who is beyond all writs.

ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਮੰਤੁ ਨ ਸੇਖ ਸਰੇਖੈ ॥੬॥

antu na mantu na sēkh sarēkhai ॥6॥

अंतु न मंतु न सेख सरेखै ॥६॥

Sesanags could not derstand the mystery of His mantra.
