ਗੁਰ ਮੂਰਤ ਕਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰ ਹੈ॥

ਗੁਰ ਮੂਰਤ ਕਰ ਧਿਆਨ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰ ਹੈ॥

gur mūrat kar dhiān sadā hajūr hai॥

गुर मूरत कर धिआन सदा हजूर है॥

Concentrate upon the Guru-word considering it as the figure of the Guru who is always with you.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਗਿਆਨ ਨੇੜ ਨ ਦੂਰ ਹੈ॥

gurmukh shabad giān nēṛ na dūr hai॥

गुरमुख शबद गिआन नेड़ न दूर है॥

Due to the knowledge of the Word, the gurmukh finds the Lord always near and not far off.

ਪੂਰਬ ਲਿਖਤ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਮ ਅੰਕੂਰ ਹੈ॥

pūrab likhat nishān karam aṅkūr hai॥

पूरब लिखत निशान करम अंकूर है॥

But the seed of karmas aprouts according to the previous karmas.

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਪਰਧਾਨ ਸੇਵਕ ਸੂਰ ਹੈ॥

gur sēvā pardhān sēvak sūr hai॥

गुर सेवा परधान सेवक सूर है॥

The valiant servant becomes leader in doing service to the Guru.

ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸਦ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ॥

pūran param nidhān sad bharpūr hai॥

पूरन परम निधान सद भरपूर है॥

God, the supreme store house is always full and omnipresent.

ਸਾਧ ਸੰਗਤ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਜਗਮਗ ਨੂਰ ਹੈ॥

sādh saṅgat asathān jagmag nūr hai॥

साध संगत असथान जगमग नूर है॥

His glory shines forth in the holy congregation of the saints.

ਲਖ ਲਖ ਸਸੀ ਅਰ ਭਾਨ ਕਿਰਣ ਠਰੂਰ ਹੈ॥

lakh lakh sasī ar bhān kiraṇ ṭharūr hai॥

लख लख ससी अर भान किरण ठरूर है॥

The brightness of myriads of moons and suns is subdued before the light of the holy congregation.

ਲਖ ਲਖ ਬੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਨ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਚੂਰ ਹੈ॥

lakh lakh bēd purān kīratan chūr hai॥

लख लख बेद पुरान कीरतन चूर है॥

Millions of Vedas and Puranas are insignificant before the praises of the Lord.

ਭਗਤ ਵਛਲ ਪਰਵਾਣ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਧੂਰ ਹੈ ॥੧੦॥

bhagat vachhal parvāṇ charnāṃ dhūr hai ॥10॥

भगत वछल परवाण चरनां धूर है ॥१०॥

The dust of the feet of the beloved of the Lord is dear to the gurmukh.
