ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਤਿਆਗਿਓ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ॥

Bhairao, Fifth Mehl:

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਤਿਆਗਿਓ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ॥

gur mili tiāgiō dūjā bhāu ॥

गुर मिलि तिआगिओ दूजा भाउ ॥

Meeting with the Guru, I have forsaken the love of duality.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥

gurmukhi japiō hari kā nāu ॥

गुरमुखि जपिओ हरि का नाउ ॥

As Gurmukh, I chant the Name of the Lord.

ਬਿਸਰੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥

bisrī chint nāmi raṅgu lāgā ॥

बिसरी चिंत नामि रंगु लागा ॥

My anxiety is gone, and I am in love with the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗਾ ॥੧॥

janam janam kā sōiā jāgā ॥1॥

जनम जनम का सोइआ जागा ॥१॥

I was asleep for countless lifetimes, but I have now awakened. ||1||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥

kari kirpā apnī sēvā lāē ॥

करि किरपा अपनी सेवा लाए ॥

Granting His Grace, He has linked me to His service.

ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

sādhū saṅgi sarab sukh pāē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

साधू संगि सरब सुख पाए ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all pleasures are found. ||1||Pause||

ਰੋਗ ਦੋਖ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥

rōg dōkh gur sabdi nivārē ॥

रोग दोख गुर सबदि निवारे ॥

The Word of the Guru's Shabad has eradicated disease and evil.

ਨਾਮ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਾਰੇ ॥

nām aukhdhu man bhītri sārē ॥

नाम अउखधु मन भीतरि सारे ॥

My mind has absorbed the medicine of the Naam.

ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦ ॥

gur bhēṭat mani bhaiā anand ॥

गुर भेटत मनि भइआ अनंद ॥

Meeting with the Guru, my mind is in bliss.

ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾਮ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥੨॥

sarab nidhān nām bhagvant ॥2॥

सरब निधान नाम भगवंत ॥२॥

All treasures are in the Name of the Lord God. ||2||

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਜਮ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ॥

janam maraṇ kī miṭī jam trās ॥

जनम मरण की मिटी जम त्रास ॥

My fear of birth and death and the Messenger of Death has been dispelled.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਊਂਧ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸ ॥

sādhsaṅgti ūndh kamal bigās ॥

साधसंगति ऊंध कमल बिगास ॥

In the Saadh Sangat, the inverted lotus of my heart has blossomed forth.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥

guṇ gāvat nihchalu bisrām ॥

गुण गावत निहचलु बिस्राम ॥

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I have found eternal, abiding peace.

ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਕਾਮ ॥੩॥

pūran hōē saglē kām ॥3॥

पूरन होए सगले काम ॥३॥

All my tasks are perfectly accomplished. ||3||

ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਆਈ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥

dulabh dēh āī parvānu ॥

दुलभ देह आई परवानु ॥

This human body, so difficult to obtain, is approved by the Lord.

ਸਫਲ ਹੋਈ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥

saphal hōī japi hari hari nāmu ॥

सफल होई जपि हरि हरि नामु ॥

Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, it has become fruitful.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ॥

kahu nānak prabhi kirpā karī ॥

कहु नानक प्रभि किरपा करी ॥

Says Nanak, God has blessed me with His Mercy.

ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ਜਪਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੀ ॥੪॥੨੯॥੪੨॥

sāsi girāsi japau hari harī ॥4॥29॥42॥

सासि गिरासि जपउ हरि हरी ॥४॥२९॥४२॥

With every breath and morsel of food, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. ||4||29||42||
