ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨ ਰੂਪ ॥

Jaitsree, Fifth Mehl:

ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨ ਰੂਪ ॥

gōbind jīvan prān dhan rūp ॥

गोबिंद जीवन प्रान धन रूप ॥

The Lord of the Universe is my existence, my breath of life, wealth and beauty.

ਅਗਿਆਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨ ਮਹਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੇ ਮਹਿ ਦੀਪ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

agiān mōh magan mahā prānī andhiārē mahi dīp ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

अगिआन मोह मगन महा प्रानी अंधिआरे महि दीप ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

The ignorant are totally intoxicated with emotional attachment; in this darkness, the Lord is the only lamp. ||1||Pause||

ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਆਨੂਪ ॥

saphal darsanu tumrā prabh prītam charan kamal ānūp ॥

सफल दरसनु तुमरा प्रभ प्रीतम चरन कमल आनूप ॥

Fruitful is the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, O Beloved God; Your lotus feet are incomparably beautiful!

ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਕਰਉ ਤਿਹ ਬੰਦਨ ਮਨਹਿ ਚਰ੍ਹਾਵਉ ਧੂਪ ॥੧॥

anik bār karau tih bandan manhi charhāvau dhūp ॥1॥

अनिक बार करउ तिह बंदन मनहि चर्हावउ धूप ॥१॥

So many times, I bow in reverence to Him, offering my mind as incense to Him. ||1||

ਹਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਤੁਮ੍‍ਰੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਦ੍ਰਿੜ੍‍ੁ ਕਰਿ ਗਹੀ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਰੀ ਲੂਕ ॥

hāri pariō tum‍rai prabh duārai driṛu kari gahī tumārī lūk ॥

हारि परिओ तुम्‍रै प्रभ दुआरै द्रिड़्‍ु करि गही तुम्‍ारी लूक ॥

Exhausted, I have fallen at Your Door, O God; I am holding tight to Your Support.

ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕਉ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਪਾਵਕ ਕੇ ਕੂਪ ॥੨॥੪॥੮॥

kāḍhi lēhu nānak apunē kau saṃsār pāvak kē kūp ॥2॥4॥8॥

काढि लेहु नानक अपुने कउ संसार पावक के कूप ॥२॥४॥८॥

Please, lift Your humble servant Nanak up, out of the pit of fire of the world. ||2||4||8||
