ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣ ਲਾਗੇ ॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik-ōṅkār satigur prasādi ॥

ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਣ ਲਾਗੇ ॥

gōbind guṇ gāvaṇ lāgē ॥

गोबिंद गुण गावण लागे ॥

I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗੇ ॥

hari raṅgi andinu jāgē ॥

हरि रंगि अनदिनु जागे ॥

I am awake, night and day, in the Lord's Love.

ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗੇ ਪਾਪ ਭਾਗੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੰਤ ਪਿਆਰਿਆ ॥

hari raṅgi jāgē pāp bhāgē milē sant piāriā ॥

हरि रंगि जागे पाप भागे मिले संत पिआरिआ ॥

Awake to the Lord's Love, my sins have left me. I meet with the Beloved Saints.

ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਲਾਗੇ ਭਰਮ ਭਾਗੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਗਲ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

gur charaṇ lāgē bharam bhāgē kāj sagal savāriā ॥

गुर चरण लागे भरम भागे काज सगल सवारिआ ॥

Attached to the Guru's Feet, my doubts are dispelled, and all my affairs are resolved.

ਸੁਣਿ ਸ੍ਰਵਣ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਹਜਿ ਜਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੈ ॥

suṇi sravaṇ bāṇī sahji jāṇī hari nāmu japi vaḍbhāgai ॥

सुणि स्रवण बाणी सहजि जाणी हरि नामु जपि वडभागै ॥

Listening to the Word of the Guru's Bani with my ears, I know celestial peace. By great good fortune, I meditate on the Lord's Name.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਗੈ ॥੧॥

binvanti nānak sarṇi suāmī jīu piṇḍu prabh āgai ॥1॥

बिनवंति नानक सरणि सुआमी जीउ पिंडु प्रभ आगै ॥१॥

Prays Nanak, I have entered my Lord and Master's Sanctuary. I dedicate my body and soul to God. ||1||

ਅਨਹਤ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ॥

anhat sabdu suhāvā ॥

अनहत सबदु सुहावा ॥

The unstruck melody of the Shabad, the Word of God is so very beautiful.

ਸਚੁ ਮੰਗਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਾ ॥

sachu maṅglu hari jasu gāvā ॥

सचु मंगलु हरि जसु गावा ॥

True joy comes from singing the Lord's Praises.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਨਾਸੇ ਰਹਸੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਮਨਿ ਘਣਾ ॥

guṇ gāi hari hari dūkh nāsē rahsu upjai mani ghaṇā ॥

गुण गाइ हरि हरि दूख नासे रहसु उपजै मनि घणा ॥

Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har, pain is dispelled, and my mind is filled with tremendous joy.

ਮਨੁ ਤੰਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਦੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਮੁਖਿ ਭਣਾ ॥

manu tannu nirmalu dēkhi darsanu nāmu prabh kā mukhi bhaṇā ॥

मनु तंनु निरमलु देखि दरसनु नामु प्रभ का मुखि भणा ॥

My mind and body have become immaculate and pure, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan; I chant the Name of God.

ਹੋਇ ਰੇਣ ਸਾਧੂ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਰਾਧੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ॥

hōi rēṇ sādhū prabh arādhū āpaṇē prabh bhāvā ॥

होइ रेण साधू प्रभ अराधू आपणे प्रभ भावा ॥

I am the dust of the feet of the Holy. Worshipping God in adoration, my God is pleased with me.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ॥੨॥

binvanti nānak daiā dhārhu sadā hari guṇ gāvā ॥2॥

बिनवंति नानक दइआ धारहु सदा हरि गुण गावा ॥२॥

Prays Nanak, please bless me with Your Mercy, that I may sing Your Glorious Praises forever. ||2||

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ॥

gur mili sāgru tariā ॥

गुर मिलि सागरु तरिआ ॥

Meeting with the Guru, I cross over the world-ocean.

ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਜਪਤ ਨਿਸਤਰਿਆ ॥

hari charaṇ japat nistariā ॥

हरि चरण जपत निसतरिआ ॥

Meditating on the Lord's Feet, I am emancipated.

ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਧਿਆਏ ਸਭਿ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਮਿਟੇ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥

hari charaṇ dhiāē sabhi phal pāē miṭē āvaṇ jāṇā ॥

हरि चरण धिआए सभि फल पाए मिटे आवण जाणा ॥

Meditating on the Lord's Feet, I have obtained the fruits of all rewards, and my comings and goings have ceased.

ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਾ ॥

bhāi bhagti subhāi hari japi āpaṇē prabh bhāvā ॥

भाइ भगति सुभाइ हरि जपि आपणे प्रभ भावा ॥

With loving devotional worship, I meditate intuitively on the Lord, and my God is pleased.

ਜਪਿ ਏਕੁ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ॥

japi ēku alakh apār pūran tisu binā nahī kōī ॥

जपि एकु अलख अपार पूरन तिसु बिना नही कोई ॥

Meditate on the One, Unseen, Infinite, Perfect Lord; there is no other than Him.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਖੋਇਆ ਜਤ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਤ ਸੋਈ ॥੩॥

binvanti nānak guri bharmu khōiā jat dēkhā tat sōī ॥3॥

बिनवंति नानक गुरि भरमु खोइआ जत देखा तत सोई ॥३॥

Prays Nanak, the Guru has erased my doubts; wherever I look, there I see Him. ||3||

ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ॥

patit pāvan hari nāmā ॥

पतित पावन हरि नामा ॥

The Lord's Name is the Purifier of sinners.

ਪੂਰਨ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੇ ਕਾਮਾ ॥

pūran sant janā kē kāmā ॥

पूरन संत जना के कामा ॥

It resolves the affairs of the humble Saints.

ਗੁਰੁ ਸੰਤੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਇਛਾ ਪੁੰਨੀਆ ॥

guru santu pāiā prabhu dhiāiā sagal ichhā punnīā ॥

गुरु संतु पाइआ प्रभु धिआइआ सगल इछा पुंनीआ ॥

I have found the Saintly Guru, meditating on God. All my desires have been fulfilled.

ਹਉ ਤਾਪ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਸੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥

hau tāp binsē sadā sarasē prabh milē chirī vichhunniā ॥

हउ ताप बिनसे सदा सरसे प्रभ मिले चिरी विछुंनिआ ॥

The fever of egotism has been dispelled, and I am always happy. I have met God, from whom I was separated for so long.

ਮਨਿ ਸਾਤਿ ਆਈ ਵਜੀ ਵਧਾਈ ਮਨਹੁ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ॥

mani sāti āī vajī vadhāī manhu kadē na vīsrai ॥

मनि साति आई वजी वधाई मनहु कदे न वीसरै ॥

My mind has found peace and tranquility; congratulations are pouring in. I shall never forget Him from my mind.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਸਦਾ ਭਜੁ ਜਗਦੀਸਰੈ ॥੪॥੧॥੩॥

binvanti nānak satiguri driṛāiā sadā bhaju jagdīsrai ॥4॥1॥3॥

बिनवंति नानक सतिगुरि द्रिड़ाइआ सदा भजु जगदीसरै ॥४॥१॥३॥

Prays Nanak, the True Guru has taught me this, to vibrate and meditate forever on the Lord of the Universe. ||4||1||3||
