ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਮ ਕਉ ਮਨੁ ਆਛੈ ॥

Dayv-Gandhaaree, Fifth Mehl:

ਦਰਸਨ ਨਾਮ ਕਉ ਮਨੁ ਆਛੈ ॥

darsan nām kau manu āchhai ॥

दरसन नाम कउ मनु आछै ॥

My mind longs for the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, and His Name.

ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਇਓ ਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਥਾਨ ਰੇ ਆਹਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਸੰਤ ਪਾਛੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

bhrami āiō hai sagal thān rē āhi pariō sant pāchhai ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

भ्रमि आइओ है सगल थान रे आहि परिओ संत पाछै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I have wandered everywhere, and now I have come to follow the Saint. ||1||Pause||

ਕਿਸੁ ਹਉ ਸੇਵੀ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਰਾਧੀ ਜੋ ਦਿਸਟੈ ਸੋ ਗਾਛੈ ॥

kisu hau sēvī kisu ārādhī jō disṭai sō gāchhai ॥

किसु हउ सेवी किसु आराधी जो दिसटै सो गाछै ॥

Whom should I serve? Whom should I worship in adoration? Whoever I see shall pass away.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਰੀਐ ਚਰਣ ਰੇਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਬਾਛੈ ॥੧॥

sādhsaṅgti kī sarnī parīai charaṇ rēnu manu bāchhai ॥1॥

साधसंगति की सरनी परीऐ चरण रेनु मनु बाछै ॥१॥

I have sought the Sanctuary of the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; my mind longs for the dust of their Feet. ||1||

ਜੁਗਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਾ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਮਾਇ ਆਛੈ ॥

jugti na jānā gunu nahī kōī mahā dutru māi āchhai ॥

जुगति न जाना गुनु नही कोई महा दुतरु माइ आछै ॥

I do not know the way, and I have no virtue. It is so difficult to escape from Maya!

ਆਇ ਪਇਓ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਤਉ ਉਤਰੀ ਸਗਲ ਦੁਰਾਛੈ ॥੨॥੨॥੨੮॥

āi paiō nānak gur charnī tau utrī sagal durāchhai ॥2॥2॥28॥

आइ पइओ नानक गुर चरनी तउ उतरी सगल दुराछै ॥२॥२॥२८॥

Nanak has come and fallen at the Guru's feet; all of his evil inclinations have vanished. ||2||2||28||
