ਧਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਕੌਸ ਦੀ ਮਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਈ॥

ਧਰੀ ਨਿਸ਼ਾਨੀ ਕੌਸ ਦੀ ਮਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪੂਜ ਕਰਾਈ॥

dharī nishānī kaus dī makē andar pūj karāī॥

धरी निशानी कौस दी मके अंदर पूज कराई॥

Wooden sandal (of Baba Nanak ) was kept as a memory and he was woshipped in Mecca.

ਜਿਥੇ ਜਾਈ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਬਾਬੇ ਬਾਝ ਨ ਖਾਲੀ ਜਾਈ॥

jithē jāī jagat vic bābē bājh na khālī jāī॥

जिथे जाई जगत विच बाबे बाझ न खाली जाई॥

Go anywhere in the world, you would not find a place bereft of the name of Baba Nanak.

ਘਰ ਘਰ ਬਾਬਾ ਪੂਜੀਏ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਮੁਸਲਮਾਨ ਗੁਆਈ॥

ghar ghar bābā pūjīē hindū muslamān guāī॥

घर घर बाबा पूजीए हिंदू मुसलमान गुआई॥

Without discrimination of Hindu or Muslim, in every house, the Baba is revered.

ਛਪੇ ਨਾਂਹਿ ਛਪਾਇਆ ਚੜਿਆ ਸੂਰਜ ਜਗ ਰੁਸ਼ਨਾਈ॥

chhapē nāṃhi chhapāiā chaṛiā sūraj jag rushnāī॥

छपे नांहि छपाइआ चड़िआ सूरज जग रुशनाई॥

When the sun rises it cannot be covered and it lightens the whole world.

ਬੁਕਿਆ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿਚ ਸਬ ਮਿਰਗਾਵਲ ਭੰਨੀ ਜਾਈ॥

bukiā siṅgh ujāṛ vic sab mirgāval bhannī jāī॥

बुकिआ सिंघ उजाड़ विच सब मिरगावल भंनी जाई॥

When the lion roared in the jungle the flocks of deer ran away.

ਚੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਚੰਦ ਨ ਲੁਕਈ ਕਢ ਕੁਨਾਲੀ ਜੋਤ ਛਪਾਈ॥

chaṛhiā chand na lukaī kaḍh kunālī jōt chhapāī॥

चड़्हिआ चंद न लुकई कढ कुनाली जोत छपाई॥

If someone wants to conceal moon by putting before it a platter, it cannot be hide.

ਉਗਵਣਹੁ ਤੇ ਆਥਵਣਹੁ ਨਉ ਖੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਿਥਵੀ ਸਭ ਝੁਕਾਈ॥

ugvaṇhu tē āthvaṇhu nau khaṇḍ prithvī sabh jhukāī॥

उगवणहु ते आथवणहु नउ खंड प्रिथवी सभ झुकाई॥

From rising to setting directions i.e from east to west, all the nine divisions of earth bowed before Baba Nanak.

ਜਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਵਰਤਾਈ ॥੩੪॥

jag andar kudrat vartāī ॥34॥

जग अंदर कुदरत वरताई ॥३४॥

He diffused his power in whole of the world.
