ਧੰਨ ਪਲ ਚਸਾ ਘੜੀ ਪਹਿਰ ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਥਿਤ ਸੁ ਵਾਰ ਸਭਾਗੇ॥

ਧੰਨ ਪਲ ਚਸਾ ਘੜੀ ਪਹਿਰ ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਥਿਤ ਸੁ ਵਾਰ ਸਭਾਗੇ॥

dhann pal chasā ghaṛī pahir dhann dhann thit su vār sabhāgē॥

धंन पल चसा घड़ी पहिर धंन धंन थित सु वार सभागे॥

Blessed is the moment, the blinking time, the hour, the date, the day (during which you remember the Lord).

ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਦਿਹ ਰਾਤ ਹੈ ਪਖ ਮਾਹ ਰੁਤ ਸੰਮਤ ਜਾਗੇ॥

dhann dhann dih rāt hai pakh māh rut sammat jāgē॥

धंन धंन दिह रात है पख माह रुत संमत जागे॥

Day, night, fortnight, months, season and the year are auspicious wherein mind tries to rise (to divinity).

ਧੰਨ ਅਭੀਚ ਨਿਛਤ੍ਹ ਹੈ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ਤਿਆਗੇ॥

dhann abhīc nichhath hai kām krōdh ahaṅkār tiāgē॥

धंन अभीच निछत्ह है काम क्रोध अहंकार तिआगे॥

Blessed is the abhijit nakstra which inspires to repudiate the lust, the anger and the ego.

ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਸੰਜੋਗ ਹੈ ਅਠਸਠ ਤੀਰਥ ਰਾਜ ਪਿਰਾਗੇ॥

dhann dhann sañjōg hai aṭhsaṭh tīrath rāj pirāgē॥

धंन धंन संजोग है अठसठ तीरथ राज पिरागे॥

That time is fortunte wherein (through meditation on God) one gets the fruits of the holy dip at the sixty eight pilgrim centers and the Prayagraj.

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਆਇਕੈ ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਰਸ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਪਾਗੇ॥

gurū duārē āikai charan kaval ras ammrit pāgē॥

गुरू दुआरे आइकै चरन कवल रस अंम्रित पागे॥

Reaching the door of Guru (the Gurudwara) mind gets absorbed in the delight of the lotus feet (of Guru).

ਗੁਰਉਪਦੇਸ ਅਵੇਸ ਕਰ ਅਨਭੈ ਪਿਰਮ ਪਿਰੀ ਅਨੁਰਾਗੇ॥

guraupdēs avēs kar anbhai piram pirī anurāgē॥

गुरउपदेस अवेस कर अनभै पिरम पिरी अनुरागे॥

Adopting the teachings of Guru, the state of fearlessness and total absorption in the love (of Lord) is attained.

ਸ਼ਬਦ ਸੁਰਤ ਲਿਵ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਅੰਗ ਅੰਗ ਇਕ ਰੰਗ ਸਮਾਗੇ॥

shabad surat liv sādhsaṅgti aṅg aṅg ik raṅg samāgē॥

शबद सुरत लिव साधसंगति अंग अंग इक रंग समागे॥

Immersing the consciousness in the sabad (word) through and in the holy congregation, every limb ( of the devotee) reverberates the lustre of the (steadfast) colour of the Lord.

ਰਤਨ ਮਾਲ ਕਰ ਕਚੇ ਧਾਗੇ ॥੧੭॥

ratan māl kar kachē dhāgē ॥17॥

रतन माल कर कचे धागे ॥१७॥

The Sikhs of the Guru have made jewel garland of the fragile thread of breath (and they make full use of the same).
