Second House||

ਦੁਇ ਦੁਇ ਲੋਚਨ ਪੇਖਾ ॥

dui dui lōchan pēkhā ॥

दुइ दुइ लोचन पेखा ॥

With both of my eyes, I look around;

ਹਉ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਉਰੁ ਨ ਦੇਖਾ ॥

hau hari binu auru na dēkhā ॥

हउ हरि बिनु अउरु न देखा ॥

I don't see anything except the Lord.

ਨੈਨ ਰਹੇ ਰੰਗੁ ਲਾਈ ॥

nain rahē raṅgu lāī ॥

नैन रहे रंगु लाई ॥

My eyes gaze lovingly upon Him,

ਅਬ ਬੇ ਗਲ ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥

ab bē gal kahnu na jāī ॥1॥

अब बे गल कहनु न जाई ॥१॥

And now, I cannot speak of anything else. ||1||

ਹਮਰਾ ਭਰਮੁ ਗਇਆ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ॥

hamrā bharmu gaiā bhau bhāgā ॥

हमरा भरमु गइआ भउ भागा ॥

My doubts were removed, and my fear ran away,

ਜਬ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

jab rām nām chitu lāgā ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

जब राम नाम चितु लागा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

When my consciousness became attached to the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause||

ਬਾਜੀਗਰ ਡੰਕ ਬਜਾਈ ॥

bājīgar ḍaṅk bajāī ॥

बाजीगर डंक बजाई ॥

When the magician beats his tambourine,

ਸਭ ਖਲਕ ਤਮਾਸੇ ਆਈ ॥

sabh khalak tamāsē āī ॥

सभ खलक तमासे आई ॥

Everyone comes to see the show.

ਬਾਜੀਗਰ ਸ੍ਵਾਂਗੁ ਸਕੇਲਾ ॥

bājīgar svāṅgu sakēlā ॥

बाजीगर स्वांगु सकेला ॥

When the magician winds up his show,

ਅਪਨੇ ਰੰਗ ਰਵੈ ਅਕੇਲਾ ॥੨॥

apnē raṅg ravai akēlā ॥2॥

अपने रंग रवै अकेला ॥२॥

Then he enjoys its play all alone. ||2||

ਕਥਨੀ ਕਹਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥

kathnī kahi bharmu na jāī ॥

कथनी कहि भरमु न जाई ॥

By preaching sermons, one's doubt is not dispelled.

ਸਭ ਕਥਿ ਕਥਿ ਰਹੀ ਲੁਕਾਈ ॥

sabh kathi kathi rahī lukāī ॥

सभ कथि कथि रही लुकाई ॥

Everyone is tired of preaching and teaching.

ਜਾ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਆਪਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥

jā kau gurmukhi āpi bujhāī ॥

जा कउ गुरमुखि आपि बुझाई ॥

The Lord causes the Gurmukh to understand;

ਤਾ ਕੇ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੩॥

tā kē hirdai rahiā samāī ॥3॥

ता के हिरदै रहिआ समाई ॥३॥

His heart remains permeated with the Lord. ||3||

ਗੁਰ ਕਿੰਚਤ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਨੀ ॥

gur kiñchat kirpā kīnī ॥

गुर किंचत किरपा कीनी ॥

When the Guru grants even a bit of His Grace,

ਸਭੁ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਹ ਹਰਿ ਲੀਨੀ ॥

sabhu tanu manu dēh hari līnī ॥

सभु तनु मनु देह हरि लीनी ॥

One's body, mind and entire being are absorbed into the Lord.

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥

kahi kabīr raṅgi rātā ॥

कहि कबीर रंगि राता ॥

Says Kabeer, I am imbued with the Lord's Love;

ਮਿਲਿਓ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੪॥

miliō jagjīvan dātā ॥4॥4॥

मिलिओ जगजीवन दाता ॥४॥४॥

I have met with the Life of the world, the Great Giver. ||4||4||
