Malaar, Fifth Mehl:

ਬਰਸੁ ਸਰਸੁ ਆਗਿਆ ॥

barsu sarsu āgiā ॥

बरसु सरसु आगिआ ॥

Rain down with happiness in God's Will.

ਹੋਹਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਸਗਲ ਭਾਗ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

hōhi ānand sagal bhāg ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

होहि आनंद सगल भाग ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Bless me with total bliss and good fortune. ||1||Pause||

ਸੰਤ ਸੰਗੇ ਮਨੁ ਪਰਫੜੈ ਮਿਲਿ ਮੇਘ ਧਰ ਸੁਹਾਗ ॥੧॥

sant saṅgē manu parphaṛai mili mēgh dhar suhāg ॥1॥

संत संगे मनु परफड़ै मिलि मेघ धर सुहाग ॥१॥

My mind blossoms forth in the Society of the Saints; soaking up the rain, the earth is blessed and beautified. ||1||

ਘਨਘੋਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮੋਰ ॥

ghanghōr prīti mōr ॥

घनघोर प्रीति मोर ॥

The peacock loves the thunder of the rain clouds.

ਚਿਤੁ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਬੂੰਦ ਓਰ ॥

chitu chātrik būnd ōr ॥

चितु चात्रिक बूंद ओर ॥

The rainbird's mind is drawn to the rain-drop

ਐਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗੇ ਮਨ ਮੋਹ ॥

aisō hari saṅgē man mōh ॥

ऐसो हरि संगे मन मोह ॥

The rainbird's mind is drawn to the rain-drop

ਤਿਆਗਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਧੋਹ ॥

tiāgi māiā dhōh ॥

तिआगि माइआ धोह ॥

I have renounced Maya, the deceiver.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾਗਿਆ ॥੨॥੫॥੨੭॥

mili sant nānak jāgiā ॥2॥5॥27॥

मिलि संत नानक जागिआ ॥२॥५॥२७॥

Joining with the Saints, Nanak is awakened. ||2||5||27||
