ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੇ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਆ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥

बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਬੰਧਨ ਕਾਟੇ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਆ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥

bandhan kāṭē āpi prabhi hōā kirpāl ॥

बंधन काटे आपि प्रभि होआ किरपाल ॥

My bonds have been snapped; God Himself has become compassionate.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੧॥

dīn daiāl prabh pārbraham tā kī nadri nihāl ॥1॥

दीन दइआल प्रभ पारब्रहम ता की नदरि निहाल ॥१॥

The Supreme Lord God is Merciful to the meek; by His Glance of Grace, I am in ecstasy. ||1||

ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਕਾਟਿਆ ਦੁਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ॥

guri pūrai kirpā karī kāṭiā dukhu rōgu ॥

गुरि पूरै किरपा करी काटिआ दुखु रोगु ॥

The Perfect Guru has shown mercy to me, and eradicated my pains and illnesses.

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਸੁਖੀ ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਿਆਵਨ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

manu tanu sītlu sukhī bhaiā prabh dhiāvan jōgu ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

मनु तनु सीतलु सुखी भइआ प्रभ धिआवन जोगु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

My mind and body have been cooled and soothed, meditating on God, most worthy of meditation. ||1||Pause||

ਅਉਖਧੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ॥

aukhdhu hari kā nāmu hai jitu rōgu na viāpai ॥

अउखधु हरि का नामु है जितु रोगु न विआपै ॥

The Name of the Lord is the medicine to cure all disease; with it, no disease afflicts me.

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਹਿਤੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਨ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੨॥

sādhsaṅgi mani tani hitai phiri dūkhu na jāpai ॥2॥

साधसंगि मनि तनि हितै फिरि दूखु न जापै ॥२॥

In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the mind and body are tinged with the Lord's Love, and I do not suffer pain any longer. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੀਐ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥

hari hari hari hari jāpīai antri liv lāī ॥

हरि हरि हरि हरि जापीऐ अंतरि लिव लाई ॥

I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, Har, lovingly centering my inner being on Him.

ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਉਤਰਹਿ ਸੁਧੁ ਹੋਇ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੩॥

kilvikh utrahi sudhu hōi sādhū sarṇāī ॥3॥

किलविख उतरहि सुधु होइ साधू सरणाई ॥३॥

Sinful mistakes are erased and I am sanctified, in the Sanctuary of the Holy Saints. ||3||

ਸੁਨਤ ਜਪਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਜਸੁ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਦੂਰਿ ਬਲਾਈ ॥

sunat japat hari nām jasu tā kī dūri balāī ॥

सुनत जपत हरि नाम जसु ता की दूरि बलाई ॥

Misfortune is kept far away from those who hear and chant the Praises of the Lord's Name.

ਮਹਾ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਕਥੈ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈ ॥੪॥੨੩॥੫੩॥

mahā mantru nānku kathai hari kē guṇ gāī ॥4॥23॥53॥

महा मंत्रु नानकु कथै हरि के गुण गाई ॥४॥२३॥५३॥

Nanak chants the Mahaa Mantra, the Great Mantra, singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||4||23||53||
