ਭਈ ਗਿਲਾਨ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਰ ਵਰਨ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਉੇਪਾਏ॥

ਭਈ ਗਿਲਾਨ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਚਾਰ ਵਰਨ ਆਸ਼੍ਰਮ ਉੇਪਾਏ॥

bhaī gilān jagat vic chār varan āshram ēpāē॥

भई गिलान जगत विच चार वरन आश्रम उेपाए॥

In view of the prevaling lassitude in the world, four varnas and four Ashrams were established.

ਦਸ ਨਾਮ ਸਨਿਆਸੀਆਂ ਜੋਗੀ ਬਾਰਹ ਪੰਥ ਚਲਾਏ॥

das nām saniāsīāṃ jōgī bārah panth chalāē॥

दस नाम सनिआसीआं जोगी बारह पंथ चलाए॥

Then ten orders of ascetics and twelve orders Of yogis came into being.

ਜੰਗਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੇਵੜੇ ਦਗੇ ਦਿਗੰਬਰ ਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਏ॥

jaṅgam atē sarēvaṛē dagē digmbar vād karāē॥

जंगम अते सरेवड़े दगे दिगंबर वाद कराए॥

Further jangams, the wanderers, sramans and Digambrs, naked jain ascetics also started their disputations.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮਣ ਬਹੁ ਪਰਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਸ਼ਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਵੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਲੜਾਏ॥

brahmaṇ bahu parkār kar shāsatr vēd purāṇ laṛāē॥

ब्रहमण बहु परकार कर शासत्र वेद पुराण लड़ाए॥

Many Categories of brahmins came into being who propounded Shastras, Vedas and Purans contradicting one another.

ਖਟ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਬਹੁ ਵੈਰ ਕਰ ਨਾਲ ਛਤੀਸ ਪਾਖੰਡ ਚਲਾਏ॥

khaṭ darshan bahu vair kar nāl chhatīs pākhaṇḍ chalāē॥

खट दरशन बहु वैर कर नाल छतीस पाखंड चलाए॥

The mutual irreconcilability of the six Indian philosophies further added many hypocrisies.

ਤੰਤ ਮੰਤ ਰਾਸਾਇਣਾ ਕਰਾਮਾਤ ਕਾਲਖ ਲਪਟਾਏ॥

tant mant rāsāiṇā karāmāt kālakh lapṭāē॥

तंत मंत रासाइणा करामात कालख लपटाए॥

Alchemy, tantra, mantra and miracles became everything for people.

ਏਕਸ ਤੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੂਪ ਕਰੂਪੀ ਘਣੇ ਦਿਖਾਏ॥

ēkas tē bahu rūp karūpī ghaṇē dikhāē॥

एकस ते बहु रूप करूपी घणे दिखाए॥

By getting divided into myriad sects(and castes) they produced a horrible look.

ਕਲਿਜੁਗ ਅੰਦਰ ਭਰਮ ਭੁਲਾਏ ॥੧੯॥

kalijug andar bharam bhulāē ॥19॥

कलिजुग अंदर भरम भुलाए ॥१९॥

They all were deluded by kaliyug.
