ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ

ਬਿਲਾਵਲੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥

बिलावलु महला ५ ॥

Bilaaval, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਦਾਤਾਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਹੋਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥

ardāsi suṇī dātāri prabhi hōē kirpāl ॥

अरदासि सुणी दातारि प्रभि होए किरपाल ॥

God, the Great Giver, has become merciful; He has listened to my prayer.

ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥

rākhi līā apnā sēvkō mukhi nindak chhāru ॥1॥

राखि लीआ अपना सेवको मुखि निंदक छारु ॥१॥

He has saved His servant, and put ashes into the mouth of the slanderer. ||1||

ਤੁਝਹਿ ਨ ਜੋਹੈ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਦਾਸ ॥

tujhhi na jōhai kō mīt jan tūṃ gur kā dās ॥

तुझहि न जोहै को मीत जन तूं गुर का दास ॥

No one can threaten you now, O my humble friend, for you are the slave of the Guru.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

pārbrahmi tū rākhiā dē apnē hāth ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

पारब्रहमि तू राखिआ दे अपने हाथ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

The Supreme Lord God reached out with His Hand and saved you. ||1||Pause||

ਜੀਅਨ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੁ ਹੈ ਬੀਆ ਨਹੀ ਹੋਰੁ ॥

jīan kā dātā ēku hai bīā nahī hōru ॥

जीअन का दाता एकु है बीआ नही होरु ॥

The One Lord is the Giver of all beings; there is no other at all.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀਆ ਮੈ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋਰੁ ॥੨॥੯॥੭੩॥

nānak kī bēnntīā mai tērā jōru ॥2॥9॥73॥

नानक की बेनंतीआ मै तेरा जोरु ॥२॥९॥७३॥

Nanak prays, You are my only strength, God. ||2||9||73||
