ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਵਤ ਦੇਵ ਸਬੈ ਮੁਨਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਮਹਾ ਸਿਵ ਜੋਗ ਕਰੀ ॥

ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥

Prabhaatee, First Mehl:

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਰਾਂਗਨਹਾਰਾ ॥

antri dēkhi sabdi manu māniā avru na rāṅgnahārā ॥

अंतरि देखि सबदि मनु मानिआ अवरु न रांगनहारा ॥

Deep within, I see the Shabad, the Word of God; my mind is pleased and appeased. Nothing else can touch and imbue me.

ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਜੀਆ ਦੇਖਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਤਿਸ ਹੀ ਕੀ ਸਰਕਾਰਾ ॥੧॥

ahinisi jīā dēkhi samālē tis hī kī sarkārā ॥1॥

अहिनिसि जीआ देखि समाले तिस ही की सरकारा ॥१॥

Day and night, God watches over and cares for His beings and creatures; He is the Ruler of all. ||1||

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਂਗਿ ਘਣੌ ਅਤਿ ਰੂੜੌ ॥

mērā prabhu rāṅgi ghaṇau ati rūṛau ॥

मेरा प्रभु रांगि घणौ अति रूड़ौ ॥

My God is dyed in the most beautiful and glorious color.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਨਮੋਹਨੁ ਅਤਿ ਰਸ ਲਾਲ ਸਗੂੜੌ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

dīn daiālu prītam manmōhnu ati ras lāl sagūṛau ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

दीन दइआलु प्रीतम मनमोहनु अति रस लाल सगूड़ौ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Merciful to the meek and the poor, my Beloved is the Enticer of the mind; He is so very sweet, imbued with the deep crimson color of His Love. ||1||Pause||

ਊਪਰਿ ਕੂਪੁ ਗਗਨ ਪਨਿਹਾਰੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਣਹਾਰਾ ॥

ūpri kūpu gagan panihārī ammritu pīvṇahārā ॥

ऊपरि कूपु गगन पनिहारी अंम्रितु पीवणहारा ॥

The Well is high up in the Tenth Gate; the Ambrosial Nectar flows, and I drink it in.

ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਰਚਨਾ ਸੋ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਾ ॥੨॥

jis kī racnā sō bidhi jāṇai gurmukhi giānu vīchārā ॥2॥

जिस की रचना सो बिधि जाणै गुरमुखि गिआनु वीचारा ॥२॥

The creation is His; He alone knows its ways and means. The Gurmukh contemplates spiritual wisdom. ||2||

ਪਸਰੀ ਕਿਰਣਿ ਰਸਿ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸੇ ਸਸਿ ਘਰਿ ਸੂਰੁ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥

pasrī kirṇi rasi kamal bigāsē sasi ghari sūru samāiā ॥

पसरी किरणि रसि कमल बिगासे ससि घरि सूरु समाइआ ॥

The rays of light spread out, and the heart-lotus joyfully blossoms forth; the sun enters into the house of the moon.

ਕਾਲੁ ਬਿਧੁੰਸਿ ਮਨਸਾ ਮਨਿ ਮਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

kālu bidhuṃsi mansā mani mārī gur prasādi prabhu pāiā ॥3॥

कालु बिधुंसि मनसा मनि मारी गुर प्रसादि प्रभु पाइआ ॥३॥

I have conquered death; the desires of the mind are destroyed. By Guru's Grace, I have found God. ||3||

ਅਤਿ ਰਸਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਲੂਲੈ ਰਾਤੀ ਦੂਜਾ ਰੰਗੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥

ati rasi raṅgi chalūlai rātī dūjā raṅgu na kōī ॥

अति रसि रंगि चलूलै राती दूजा रंगु न कोई ॥

I am dyed in the deep crimson color of His Love. I am not colored by any other color.

ਨਾਨਕ ਰਸਨਿ ਰਸਾਏ ਰਾਤੇ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥੪॥੧੫॥

nānak rasni rasāē rātē ravi rahiā prabhu sōī ॥4॥15॥

नानक रसनि रसाए राते रवि रहिआ प्रभु सोई ॥४॥१५॥

O Nanak, my tongue is saturated with the taste of God, who is permeating and pervading everywhere. ||4||15||
