ਅਗਮ ਦਇਆਲ ਕਿÂ੍ਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮ ਕਹੇ ॥

Prabhaatee, Fourth Mehl:

ਅਗਮ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਮ ਕਹੇ ॥

agam daiāl kripā prabhi dhārī mukhi hari hari nāmu ham kahē ॥

अगम दइआल क्रिपा प्रभि धारी मुखि हरि हरि नामु हम कहे ॥

God, the Inaccessible and Merciful, has showered me with His Mercy; I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, with my mouth.

ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਓ ਸਭਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਲਹੇ ॥੧॥

patit pāvan hari nāmu dhiāiō sabhi kilbikh pāp lahē ॥1॥

पतित पावन हरि नामु धिआइओ सभि किलबिख पाप लहे ॥१॥

I meditate on the Name of the Lord, the Purifier of sinners; I am rid of all my sins and mistakes. ||1||

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ ॥

japi man rām nāmu ravi rahē ॥

जपि मन राम नामु रवि रहे ॥

O mind, chant the Name of the All-pervading Lord.

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਗਾਇਓ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਲਹੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

dīn daiālu dukh bhañjnu gāiō gurmati nāmu padārthu lahē ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

दीन दइआलु दुख भंजनु गाइओ गुरमति नामु पदारथु लहे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

I sing the Praises of the Lord, Merciful to the meek, Destroyer of pain. Following the Guru's Teachings, I gather in the Wealth of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰਿ ਨਗਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਸਿਓ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਹੇ ॥

kāiā nagri nagri hari basiō mati gurmati hari hari sahē ॥

काइआ नगरि नगरि हरि बसिओ मति गुरमति हरि हरि सहे ॥

The Lord abides in the body-village; through the Wisdom of the Guru's Teachings, the Lord, Har, Har, is revealed.

ਸਰੀਰਿ ਸਰੋਵਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਓ ਘਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਹੇ ॥੨॥

sarīri sarōvri nāmu hari pragṭiō ghari mandri hari prabhu lahē ॥2॥

सरीरि सरोवरि नामु हरि प्रगटिओ घरि मंदरि हरि प्रभु लहे ॥२॥

In the lake of the body, the Lord's Name has been revealed. Within my own home and mansion, I have obtained the Lord God. ||2||

ਜੋ ਨਰ ਭਰਮਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਉਦਿਆਨੇ ਤੇ ਸਾਕਤ ਮੂੜ ਮੁਹੇ ॥

jō nar bharmi bharmi udiānē tē sākat mūṛ muhē ॥

जो नर भरमि भरमि उदिआने ते साकत मूड़ मुहे ॥

Those beings who wander in the wilderness of doubt - those faithless cynics are foolish, and are plundered.

ਜਿਉ ਮ੍ਰਿਗ ਨਾਭਿ ਬਸੈ ਬਾਸੁ ਬਸਨਾ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਓ ਝਾਰ ਗਹੇ ॥੩॥

jiu mrig nābhi basai bāsu basnā bhrami bhramiō jhār gahē ॥3॥

जिउ म्रिग नाभि बसै बासु बसना भ्रमि भ्रमिओ झार गहे ॥३॥

They are like the deer: the scent of musk comes from its own navel, but it wanders and roams around, searching for it in the bushes. ||3||

ਤੁਮ ਵਡ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਤਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲਹੇ ॥

tum vaḍ agam agādhi bōdhi prabh mati dēvhu hari prabh lahē ॥

तुम वड अगम अगाधि बोधि प्रभ मति देवहु हरि प्रभ लहे ॥

You are Great and Unfathomable; Your Wisdom, God, is Profound and Incomprehensible. Please bless me with that wisdom, by which I might attain You, O Lord God.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਹਾਥੁ ਸਿਰਿ ਧਰਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹੇ ॥੪॥੪॥

jan nānak kau guri hāthu siri dhariō hari rām nāmi ravi rahē ॥4॥4॥

जन नानक कउ गुरि हाथु सिरि धरिओ हरि राम नामि रवि रहे ॥४॥४॥

The Guru has placed His Hand upon servant Nanak; he chants the Name of the Lord. ||4||4||
