ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥

Aasaa, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਗਮ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥

agam agōcru darsu tērā sō pāē jisu masatki bhāgu ॥

अगम अगोचरु दरसु तेरा सो पाए जिसु मसतकि भागु ॥

The Blessed Vision of Your Darshan is unapproachable and incomprehensible; he alone obtains it, who has such good destiny recorded upon his forehead.

ਆਪਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬਖਸਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥

āpi kripāli kripā prabhi dhārī satiguri bakhsiā hari nāmu ॥1॥

आपि क्रिपालि क्रिपा प्रभि धारी सतिगुरि बखसिआ हरि नामु ॥१॥

The Merciful Lord God has bestowed His Mercy, and the True Guru has granted the Lord's Name. ||1||

ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਉਧਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥

kalijugu udhāriā gurdēv ॥

कलिजुगु उधारिआ गुरदेव ॥

The Divine Guru is the Saving Grace in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga.

ਮਲ ਮੂਤ ਮੂੜ ਜਿ ਮੁਘਦ ਹੋਤੇ ਸਭਿ ਲਗੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

mal mūt mūṛ ji mughad hōtē sabhi lagē tērī sēv ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

मल मूत मूड़ जि मुघद होते सभि लगे तेरी सेव ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Even those fools and idiots, stained with feces and urine, have all taken to Your service. ||1||Pause||

ਤੂ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਸ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਧਰਤਾ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥

tū āpi karatā sabh srisṭi dhartā sabh mahi rahiā samāi ॥

तू आपि करता सभ स्रिसटि धरता सभ महि रहिआ समाइ ॥

You Yourself are the Creator, who established the entire world. You are contained in all.

ਧਰਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਿਸਮਾਦੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਭ ਪਈ ਪੈਰੀ ਆਇ ॥੨॥

dharam rājā bismādu hōā sabh paī pairī āi ॥2॥

धरम राजा बिसमादु होआ सभ पई पैरी आइ ॥२॥

The Righteous Judge of Dharma is wonder-struck, at the sight of everyone falling at the Lord's Feet. ||2||

ਸਤਜੁਗੁ ਤ੍ਰੇਤਾ ਦੁਆਪਰੁ ਭਣੀਐ ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਊਤਮੋ ਜੁਗਾ ਮਾਹਿ ॥

satjugu trētā duāpru bhaṇīai kalijugu ūtmō jugā māhi ॥

सतजुगु त्रेता दुआपरु भणीऐ कलिजुगु ऊतमो जुगा माहि ॥

The Golden Age of Sat Yuga, the Silver Age of Trayta Yuga, and the Brass Age of Dwaapar Yuga are good; but the best is the Dark Age, the Iron Age, of Kali Yuga.

ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਅਹਿ ਕਰੁ ਪਾਏ ਕੋਈ ਨ ਪਕੜੀਐ ਕਿਸੈ ਥਾਇ ॥੩॥

ahi karu karē su ahi karu pāē kōī na pakṛīai kisai thāi ॥3॥

अहि करु करे सु अहि करु पाए कोई न पकड़ीऐ किसै थाइ ॥३॥

As we act, so are the rewards we receive; no one can take the place of another. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿ ਭਗਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਏਹੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ॥

hari jīu sōī karahi ji bhagat tērē jāchhi ēhu tērā birdu ॥

हरि जीउ सोई करहि जि भगत तेरे जाचहि एहु तेरा बिरदु ॥

O Dear Lord, whatever Your devotees ask for, You do. This is Your Way, Your very nature.

ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਨੁ ਮਾਗੈ ਅਪਣਿਆ ਸੰਤਾ ਦੇਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸੁ ॥੪॥੫॥੧੪੦॥

kar jōṛi nānak dānu māgai apṇiā santā dēhi hari darsu ॥4॥5॥140॥

कर जोड़ि नानक दानु मागै अपणिआ संता देहि हरि दरसु ॥४॥५॥१४०॥

With my palms pressed together, O Nanak, I beg for this gift; Lord, please bless Your Saints with Your Vision. ||4||5||140||
