ਅਬਿਚਲ ਨਗਰੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
abichal nagru gōbind gurū kā nāmu japat sukhu pāiā rām ॥
अबिचल नगरु गोबिंद गुरू का नामु जपत सुखु पाइआ राम ॥
Eternal and immovable is the City of God and Guru; chanting His Name, I have found peace.
ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
man ichhē sēī phal pāē kartai āpi vasāiā rām ॥
मन इछे सेई फल पाए करतै आपि वसाइआ राम ॥
I have obtained the fruits of my mind's desires; the Creator Himself established it.
ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੁਤ ਭਾਈ ਸਿਖ ਬਿਗਾਸੇ ॥
kartai āpi vasāiā sarab sukh pāiā put bhāī sikh bigāsē ॥
करतै आपि वसाइआ सरब सुख पाइआ पुत भाई सिख बिगासे ॥
The Creator Himself established it. I have found total peace; my children, siblings and Sikhs have all blossomed forth in bliss.
ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਸੇ ॥
guṇ gāvahi pūran parmēsur kārju āiā rāsē ॥
गुण गावहि पूरन परमेसुर कारजु आइआ रासे ॥
Singing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, my affairs have come to be resolved.
ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪੇ ਰਖਾ ਆਪਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
prabhu āpi suāmī āpē rakhā āpi pitā āpi māiā ॥
प्रभु आपि सुआमी आपे रखा आपि पिता आपि माइआ ॥
God Himself is my Lord and Master. He Himself is my Saving Grace; He Himself is my father and mother.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
kahu nānak satigur balihārī jini ēhu thānu suhāiā ॥1॥
कहु नानक सतिगुर बलिहारी जिनि एहु थानु सुहाइआ ॥१॥
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has embellished and adorned this place. ||1||
ਘਰ ਮੰਦਰ ਹਟਨਾਲੇ ਸੋਹੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਿਚਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
ghar mandar haṭnālē sōhē jisu vichi nāmu nivāsī rām ॥
घर मंदर हटनाले सोहे जिसु विचि नामु निवासी राम ॥
Homes, mansions, stores and markets are beautiful, when the Lord's Name abides within.
ਸੰਤ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਕਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
sant bhagat hari nāmu arādhhi kaṭīai jam kī phāsī rām ॥
संत भगत हरि नामु अराधहि कटीऐ जम की फासी राम ॥
The Saints and devotees worship the Lord's Name in adoration, and the noose of Death is cut away.
ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਫਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥
kāṭī jam phāsī prabhi abināsī hari hari nāmu dhiāē ॥
काटी जम फासी प्रभि अबिनासी हरि हरि नामु धिआए ॥
The noose of Death is cut away, meditating on the Name of the Eternal, Unchanging Lord, Har, Har.
ਸਗਲ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥
sagal samgrī pūran hōī man ichhē phal pāē ॥
सगल समग्री पूरन होई मन इछे फल पाए ॥
Everything is perfect for them, and they obtain the fruits of their mind's desires.
ਸੰਤ ਸਜਨ ਸੁਖਿ ਮਾਣਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਸੀ ॥
sant sajan sukhi māṇhi ralīā dūkh darad bhram nāsī ॥
संत सजन सुखि माणहि रलीआ दूख दरद भ्रम नासी ॥
The Saints and friends enjoy peace and pleasure; their pain, suffering and doubts are dispelled.
ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸੀ ॥੨॥
sabdi savārē satiguri pūrai nānak sad bali jāsī ॥2॥
सबदि सवारे सतिगुरि पूरै नानक सद बलि जासी ॥२॥
The Perfect True Guru has embellished them with the Word of the Shabad; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to them. ||2||
ਦਾਤਿ ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
dāti khasam kī pūrī hōī nit nit chaṛai savāī rām ॥
दाति खसम की पूरी होई नित नित चड़ै सवाई राम ॥
The gift of our Lord and Master is perfect; it increases day by day.
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਖਸਮਾਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਰਾਮ ॥
pārbrahmi khasmānā kīā jis dī vaḍī vaḍiāī rām ॥
पारब्रहमि खसमाना कीआ जिस दी वडी वडिआई राम ॥
The Supreme Lord God has made me His own; His Glorious Greatness is so great!
ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਇਆ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥
ādi jugādi bhagtan kā rākhā sō prabhu bhaiā daiālā ॥
आदि जुगादि भगतन का राखा सो प्रभु भइआ दइआला ॥
From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, He is the Protector of His devotees; God has become merciful to me.
ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸਾਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥
jīa jant sabhi sukhī vasāē prabhi āpē kari pratipālā ॥
जीअ जंत सभि सुखी वसाए प्रभि आपे करि प्रतिपाला ॥
All beings and creatures now dwell in peace; God Himself cherishes and cares for them.
ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
dah dis pūri rahiā jasu suāmī kīmti kahṇu na jāī ॥
दह दिस पूरि रहिआ जसु सुआमी कीमति कहणु न जाई ॥
The Praises of the Lord and Master are totally pervading in the ten directions; I cannot express His worth.
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਅਬਿਚਲ ਨੀਵ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੩॥
kahu nānak satigur balihārī jini abichal nīv rakhāī ॥3॥
कहु नानक सतिगुर बलिहारी जिनि अबिचल नीव रखाई ॥३॥
Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has laid this eternal foundation. ||3||
ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਣੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
giān dhiān pūran parmēsur hari hari kathā nit suṇīai rām ॥
गिआन धिआन पूरन परमेसुर हरि हरि कथा नित सुणीऐ राम ॥
The spiritual wisdom and meditation of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, and the Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, are continually heard there.
ਅਨਹਦ ਚੋਜ ਭਗਤ ਭਵ ਭੰਜਨ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਧੁਨੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥
anhad chōj bhagat bhav bhañjan anhad vājē dhunīai rām ॥
अनहद चोज भगत भव भंजन अनहद वाजे धुनीऐ राम ॥
The devotees of the Lord, the Destroyer of fear, play endlessly there, and the unstruck melody resounds and vibrates there.
ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੇ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਨਿਤ ਹੋਵੈ ॥
anhad jhuṇkārē tatu bīchārē sant gōsṭi nit hōvai ॥
अनहद झुणकारे ततु बीचारे संत गोसटि नित होवै ॥
The unstruck melody resounds and resonates, and the Saints contemplate the essence of reality; this discourse is their daily routine.
ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਸਭ ਕਾਟਹਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਗਲੇ ਖੋਵੈ ॥
hari nāmu arādhhi mailu sabh kāṭhi kilvikh saglē khōvai ॥
हरि नामु अराधहि मैलु सभ काटहि किलविख सगले खोवै ॥
They worship the Lord's Name, and all their filth is washed away; they rid themselves of all sins.
ਤਹ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਣਾ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜੁੋਨੀਐ ॥
tah janam na marṇā āvaṇ jāṇā bahuṛi na pāīai jōnīai ॥
तह जनम न मरणा आवण जाणा बहुड़ि न पाईऐ जुोनीऐ ॥
There is no birth or death there, no coming or going, and no entering into the womb of reincarnation again.
ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀਐ ॥੪॥੬॥੯॥
nānak guru parmēsru pāiā jisu prasādi ichh punīai ॥4॥6॥9॥
नानक गुरु परमेसरु पाइआ जिसु प्रसादि इछ पुनीऐ ॥४॥६॥९॥
Nanak has found the Guru, the Transcendent Lord; by His Grace, desires are fulfilled. ||4||6||9||
