ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਜਲਤ ਰਾਮ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

ik-ōṅkār satināmu karatā purkhu gur prasādi ॥

ੴसतिनामु करता पुरखु गुर प्रसादि ॥

ਗਉੜੀ ਗੁਆਰੇਰੀ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕਬੀਰ ਜੀਉ ਕੇ ਚਉਪਦੇ ੧੪ ॥

gauṛī guārērī srī kabīr jīu kē chaupdē 14 ॥

गउड़ी गुआरेरी स्री कबीर जीउ के चउपदे १४ ॥

ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਜਲਤ ਰਾਮ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

ab mōhi jalat rām jalu pāiā ॥

अब मोहि जलत राम जलु पाइआ ॥

I was on fire, but now I have found the Water of the Lord's Name.

ਰਾਮ ਉਦਕਿ ਤਨੁ ਜਲਤ ਬੁਝਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

rām udki tanu jalat bujhāiā ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

राम उदकि तनु जलत बुझाइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

This Water of the Lord's Name has cooled my burning body. ||1||Pause||

ਮਨੁ ਮਾਰਣ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਬਨ ਜਾਈਐ ॥

manu māraṇ kārṇi ban jāīai ॥

मनु मारण कारणि बन जाईऐ ॥

To subdue their minds, some go off into the forests;

ਸੋ ਜਲੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥

sō jalu binu bhagvant na pāīai ॥1॥

सो जलु बिनु भगवंत न पाईऐ ॥१॥

But that Water is not found without the Lord God. ||1||

ਜਿਹ ਪਾਵਕ ਸੁਰਿ ਨਰ ਹੈ ਜਾਰੇ ॥

jih pāvak suri nar hai jārē ॥

जिह पावक सुरि नर है जारे ॥

That fire has consumed angels and mortal beings,

ਰਾਮ ਉਦਕਿ ਜਨ ਜਲਤ ਉਬਾਰੇ ॥੨॥

rām udki jan jalat ubārē ॥2॥

राम उदकि जन जलत उबारे ॥२॥

But the Water of the Lord's Name saves His humble servants from burning. ||2||

ਭਵ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਾਹੀ ॥

bhav sāgar sukh sāgar māhī ॥

भव सागर सुख सागर माही ॥

In the terrifying world-ocean, there is an ocean of peace.

ਪੀਵਿ ਰਹੇ ਜਲ ਨਿਖੁਟਤ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੩॥

pīvi rahē jal nikhuṭat nāhī ॥3॥

पीवि रहे जल निखुटत नाही ॥३॥

I continue to drink it in, but this Water is never exhausted. ||3||

ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਭਜੁ ਸਾਰਿੰਗਪਾਨੀ ॥

kahi kabīr bhaju sāriṅgpānī ॥

कहि कबीर भजु सारिंगपानी ॥

Says Kabeer, meditate and vibrate upon the Lord, like the rainbird remembering the water.

ਰਾਮ ਉਦਕਿ ਮੇਰੀ ਤਿਖਾ ਬੁਝਾਨੀ ॥੪॥੧॥

rām udki mērī tikhā bujhānī ॥4॥1॥

राम उदकि मेरी तिखा बुझानी ॥४॥१॥

The Water of the Lord's Name has quenched my thirst. ||4||1||
