ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਕਰਹੁ ॥

Bilaaval, Fourth Mehl:

ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਕਰਹੁ ॥

āvhu sant milhu mērē bhāī mili hari hari kathā karahu ॥

आवहु संत मिलहु मेरे भाई मिलि हरि हरि कथा करहु ॥

Come, O Saints, and join together, O my Siblings of Destiny; let us tell the Stories of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਬੋਹਿਥੁ ਹੈ ਕਲਜੁਗਿ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰਹੁ ॥੧॥

hari hari nāmu bōhithu hai kaljugi khēvṭu gur sabdi tarhu ॥1॥

हरि हरि नामु बोहिथु है कलजुगि खेवटु गुर सबदि तरहु ॥१॥

The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is the boat in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga; the Word of the Guru's Shabad is the boatman to ferry us across. ||1||

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਹਰਿ ਉਚਰਹੁ ॥

mērē man hari guṇ hari ucrahu ॥

मेरे मन हरि गुण हरि उचरहु ॥

O my mind, chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਤ ਲਿਖੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਹੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

masatki likhat likhē gun gāē mili saṅgti pāri parhu ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

मसतकि लिखत लिखे गुन गाए मिलि संगति पारि परहु ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

According to the pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon your forehead, sing the Praises of the Lord; join the Holy Congregation, and cross over the world-ocean. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਇਆ ਨਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਰਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਊਤਮੁ ਕਿਉ ਪਾਈਐ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਰਹੁ ॥

kāiā nagar mahi rām rasu ūtmu kiu pāīai updēsu jan karahu ॥

काइआ नगर महि राम रसु ऊतमु किउ पाईऐ उपदेसु जन करहु ॥

Within the body-village is the Lord's supreme, sublime essence. How can I obtain it? Teach me, O humble Saints.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਫਲ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਅਹੁ ॥੨॥

satiguru sēvi saphal hari darsanu mili ammritu hari rasu pīahu ॥2॥

सतिगुरु सेवि सफल हरि दरसनु मिलि अंम्रितु हरि रसु पीअहु ॥२॥

Serving the True Guru, you shall obtain the Fruitful Vision of the Lord's Darshan; meeting Him, drink in the ambrosial essence of the Lord's Nectar. ||2||

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੀਠਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਚਾਖਿ ਦਿਖਹੁ ॥

hari hari nāmu ammritu hari mīṭhā hari santhu chākhi dikhhu ॥

हरि हरि नामु अंम्रितु हरि मीठा हरि संतहु चाखि दिखहु ॥

The Ambrosial Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is so sweet; O Saints of the Lord, taste it, and see.

ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਲਾਗਾ ਤਿਨ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਖ ਰਸਹੁ ॥੩॥

gurmati hari rasu mīṭhā lāgā tin bisrē sabhi bikh rashu ॥3॥

गुरमति हरि रसु मीठा लागा तिन बिसरे सभि बिख रसहु ॥३॥

Under Guru's Instruction, the Lord's essence seems so sweet; through it, all corrupt sensual pleasures are forgotten. ||3||

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸੁ ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ॥

rām nāmu rasu rām rasāiṇu hari sēvhu sant janhu ॥

राम नामु रसु राम रसाइणु हरि सेवहु संत जनहु ॥

The Name of the Lord is the medicine to cure all diseases; so serve the Lord, O humble Saints.

ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਚਾਰੇ ਪਾਏ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਹੁ ॥੪॥੪॥

chāri padārath chārē pāē gurmati nānak hari bhajhu ॥4॥4॥

चारि पदारथ चारे पाए गुरमति नानक हरि भजहु ॥४॥४॥

The four great blessings are obtained, O Nanak, by vibrating upon the Lord, under Guru's Instruction. ||4||4||
