ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜੁਗੋ ਜੁਗੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥

ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜੁਗੋ ਜੁਗੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥

ādi jugādi jugādi jugō jugu tā kā antu na jāniā ॥

आदि जुगादि जुगादि जुगो जुगु ता का अंतु न जानिआ ॥

He existed in the beginning, in the primeval age, and all throughout the ages; His limits cannot be known.

ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਰਾਮੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਰਵਿ ਐਸਾ ਰੂਪੁ ਬਖਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥

sarab nirntari rāmu rahiā ravi aisā rūpu bakhāniā ॥1॥

सरब निरंतरि रामु रहिआ रवि ऐसा रूपु बखानिआ ॥१॥

The Lord is pervading and permeating amongst all; this is how His Form can be described. ||1||

ਗੋਬਿਦੁ ਗਾਜੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਬਾਜੈ ॥

gōbidu gājai sabdu bājai ॥

गोबिदु गाजै सबदु बाजै ॥

The Lord of the Universe appears when the Word of His Shabad is chanted.

ਆਨਦ ਰੂਪੀ ਮੇਰੋ ਰਾਮਈਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

ānad rūpī mērō rāmīā ॥1॥ rahāu ॥

आनद रूपी मेरो रामईआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

My Lord is the Embodiment of Bliss. ||1||Pause||

ਬਾਵਨ ਬੀਖੂ ਬਾਨੈ ਬੀਖੇ ਬਾਸੁ ਤੇ ਸੁਖ ਲਾਗਿਲਾ ॥

bāvan bīkhū bānai bīkhē bāsu tē sukh lāgilā ॥

बावन बीखू बानै बीखे बासु ते सुख लागिला ॥

The beautiful fragrance of sandalwood emanates from the sandalwood tree, and attaches to the other trees of the forest.

ਸਰਬੇ ਆਦਿ ਪਰਮਲਾਦਿ ਕਾਸਟ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਭੈਇਲਾ ॥੨॥

sarbē ādi parmalādi kāsaṭ chandnu bhaiilā ॥2॥

सरबे आदि परमलादि कासट चंदनु भैइला ॥२॥

God, the Primal Source of everything, is like the sandalwood tree; He transforms us woody trees into fragrant sandalwood. ||2||

ਤੁਮ੍‍ ਚੇ ਪਾਰਸੁ ਹਮ ਚੇ ਲੋਹਾ ਸੰਗੇ ਕੰਚਨੁ ਭੈਇਲਾ ॥

tum‍ chē pārsu ham chē lōhā saṅgē kañcnu bhaiilā ॥

तुम्‍ चे पारसु हम चे लोहा संगे कंचनु भैइला ॥

You, O Lord, are the Philosopher's Stone, and I am iron; associating with You, I am transformed into gold.

ਤੂ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਰਤਨੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਨਾਮਾ ਸਾਚਿ ਸਮਾਇਲਾ ॥੩॥੨॥

tū daiālu ratnu lālu nāmā sāchi samāilā ॥3॥2॥

तू दइआलु रतनु लालु नामा साचि समाइला ॥३॥२॥

You are Merciful; You are the gem and the jewel. Naam Dayv is absorbed in the Truth. ||3||2||
